Diwali celebration

On 27th October 2017, we had school-wide Diwali celebration at CPDS. From morning itself, we had various activities scheduled to learn more about Indian culture like Diya (lamp) decorations, colouring in Rangoli patterns, making henna designs on hands, a powerpoint presentation highlighting the significance of Diwali celebration, dancing on Bollywood music and last but not the least authentic and mouth – watering Indian snack in our classroom.
After lunch, we had whole school assembly in the hall in which the wonderful performers showed their skills in anchoring, dancing, playing instruments, etc.

A big thanks to all the amazing parent helpers who took out time from their busy schedule and helped us run the activities smoothly and also a big thanks to all those parents who provided us with delicious Indian food. The children just loved the food and enjoyed different activities throughout the day.

Here are a few clicks of the great day spent in our classroom -
